My Son, Alexander

My son Alexander just graduated from Tualatin High School and is headed to college this Fall, so we created his senior portrait last week in a studio setting. What was a bit different about this setting is that it is using all natural lighting instead of studio lights.

To get the soft lighting I setup my studio backdrop in the garage with the garage door open and pointing north. The summer sky in the North is providing this very soft light, and since he is inside of the garage there is no harsh “racoon eye” look. Plenty of twinkle in the eyes, and we were done in 10 minutes.

Josh Loves Baseball
